1882 First evidence of cricket played by Dumbleton with away matches at Toddington and Winchcombe.

1884 Away match arranged versus Evesham.

1885 First evidence of home match played at Dumbleton on 11th July versus Evesham Grammar School.

1900 approx. Pavilion purchased from Stanway Cricket Club.

1900 Match versus Stanway ends in a tie, both sides all out for 21. Other fixtures include Overbury, Stanton, Beckford, Broadway and Sedgeberrow.

1902 Matches played against Pershore and Bishops Cleeve. Coronation Dinner Dance held.

1911 Fixtures with Moor, Elmley Castle, Alderton and Hinton.

1919 Cricket resumed after war with ten victories in fourteen matches.

1920 Champions of newly formed North Cotswold Cricket League involving Overbury, Elmley Castle, Buckland, Toddington, Ashton-Under-Hill, Alderton and Gretton, later joined by Stanton, Badsey, Bredon and Hampton. Gretton dismissed for eight runs.

1922 Club win league again.

1925 League Champions for third time but league not continued in 1926.

1934 V. Hopkins plays the first of his one hundred and thirty-nine matches for Gloucestershire between 1934 and 1948. Club Fete raises over £38. Benefit match played for Wally Hammond.

1935 Christmas Whist Drive and Dance raises over £35.

1937 J.M. Pyke-Nott retires as Chairman, place taken by son R.M. Pyke-Nott.

1938 Shorter fixture list arranged for 2nd XI.

1940 One team only fielded.

1941 No cricket. £ll received from soldiers for use of pavilion.

1943 Cricket played - members prepared own wicket.

1944 Dance arranged which raised over £66. Strict rules set regarding entrance to field and pavilion.

1945 Position of Groundsman put to tenders. Christmas Whist Drive and Dance makes £176.

1946 A Banking Account opened at Lloyds with profits from Whist Drive. Six men spend three days rolling the wicket.

1947 Cricket tour to Timperley, Cheshire.

1948 Bus hired to take 2nd XI to matches. New mower purchased for £176. Field used for Hunt matches. F.Lucking responsible for Ground and running of Bar.

1949 Three Whatcotts play for 2nd XI. Regular Wednesday XI matches arranged under captaincy of Eric Hopkins.

1950 Two Annual General Meetings held in year as it was decided to hold future meetings in November and not in March.

1951 Calor Gas installed in the pavilion for light and heating water for teas.

1952 Flush lavatory installed for the Ladies.

1953 Team entered in Evesham Cricket Club Knock-Out Competition.Programme of Sports held on Coronation Day.

1958 New post of Treasurer made. Work previously done by honorary Secretary. Adjourned Annual General Meeting held in March due to lack of attendance at previous November's original meeting.

1959 H.P. Staight made life Member of Club for his twenty year service as secretary and joins C.Griffin as the only life members. Tea ladies given pair of nylons each as reward for their invaluable help.

1960 Decision made for future club colours to be black and yellow. Agreement prepared for rent of ground fixed at £5 per annum. First cricket match played on a Sunday (26th June) but not during church service. Monthly dances cancelled and football sweep started by Fred Hyde as new fund raiser.

1962 New extension for pavilion completed.

1964 New sight screens purchased, using axles from existing screens. One arm bandit installed in pavilion.

1965 Mid-week evening matches arranged. Motor mower purchased. Price of cider fixed at 1/3d. Per pint. No longer necessary to finish play before start of Evensong on Sundays.

1966 Benefit match for Ron Nicholls played against Gloucestershire. New Tote competition started to replace football sweep.

1967 Three day cricket tour to Somerset. Three centuries scored by David Lewis who tragically died a year later.

1968 Fixtures arranged for a Sunday 2nd XI. Further extensions carried out to pavilion. Motor roller purchased for £25.

1969 Match played for Joe Slatter to mark fifty years playing membership. Twenty-one year lease taken up with Dumbleton Estate.

1970 Cricket week held. Extensions to Bar area made. Groundsman's Shed completed. J. Slatter made Life Member. Review of Club rules.'Wild West' Dance held at Beckford Hotel.

1972 First of four cricket tours to Yorkshire. Opponents include: Heworth (York), Doncaster, Great Driffield, Beverley and Stillington.

1973 Haig National Village Competition Champions for Gloucestershire. Benefit match for Graham Wiltshire played against Gloucestershire. Skittles team entered in Tewkesbury league. Further review of Club rules made at an Extraordinary General Meeting. V. Hopkins elected Life Member.

1974 New fence erected. Gloucestershire County Cricket Club Testimonial match played. R.C. Meadows elected Life Member.

1975 Annual Dinner Dance held at Bushley Village Hall for first time, previously at Gupshill Manor.

1976 New scoreboard erected in memory of P. Hearle.

1977 New Shower Room completed. H. Staight's Memorial afternoon, ashes scattered under oak tree in north east corner of ground. Match held on Queen's Jubilee Day. A Slatter and G. Nightingale elected Life Members. Film made about the club by Transworld International.

1978 Start of 100 Club to replace the weekly Tote. Benefit Match for David Sheppard and Jack Davey played against Gloucestershire. New beer cellar built.

1979 Cricket Tour to Sussex. Junior XI win the Vale League. G. Nightingale retires as Chairman after twenty-three years service, and is presented with an engraved mallett by the club.

1980 Further tour to Sussex. Opponents include: Warborough, East Preston,Singleton and Arundel.

1981 The Mike Proctor North Cotswold Hills League formed. J. Taylor and H. Bowles elected Life Members. New twenty-one year lease with Dumbleton Estate agreed at £100 per annum.

1982 First of three annual Cricket Tours at Bournemouth. 2nd XI finish runners-up in North Cotswold Hills League. Tree Planting Ceremony held in memory of R. Panes and dedication of photograph in pavilion in memory of G. Nightingale.

1983 New motor mower purchased for £1,450. New Groundsman's Shed and Car Park completed. Sponsored bike ride held around Bredon Hill with £1,400 being raised for Cheltenham Cobalt Unit. 1st X1 become Champions of North Cotswold Hills League.

1984 New extension to kitchen completed. Miss D. Beasley, scorer, becomes the first lady to attend an Annual General Meeting. Vic Hopkins' ashes scattered under oak tree.

1985 Centenary Year starts with tour to South Africa. Other celebrations include several sporting events against Hatherley & Reddings Cricket Club also celebrating their centenary and a cricket week culminating in a Grand Evening with all old playing members invited.

1997 Junior members list tops 80! Juniors represent the club at U16, U14 and U12. Presentation Evening held in July.

1998 Martin Court awarded "Player of the Year 1997". Mark Scott, the Worcestershire Youth Development Officer and England U19 Batting Coach agrees to join the club as Senior Coach.

1999 Four junior players join county squads; Andrew Evans and Ben Atkinson with Gloucestershire and Mike Barfoot and Tom Green with Worcestershire. Mike was named "Player of the Year 1998" at the Club Dinner Dance in February 1999

1999 August: A benefit match for England Batsman and Worcester county player Graeme Hick was held during cricket week. An extremely successful day for the club despite loosing heavily to the Worcestershire side. 16-year-old Tom Green rose to the occasion by taking the wickets of Hick, Australian Test cricketer Tom Moody and Worcestershire batsman Nathan Batson. Wicketkeeper Graeme Piesse's lightening fast hands took the three stumpings as well as two catches.

2000-2004: The club spends 5 years winning the Gloucestershire Village Knock out title in a row only to come unstuck in the last 32 of the National stage every time, often by a whisker! Very succesful years but disappointing not to get any further nonetheless!

2008 August: 2nd XI win first league title in many years when clinching the Gloucester division against Stone and in the process lost only one game all season, the 1st XI finishing a close second in their division. Long serving Mark Elliot now in his 23rd season (he did start when he was 12!) wins his first league title!
