17th August 2009

A very disappointing effort with the bat on Saturday saw the 1st XI slump to defeat at Tewkesbury while the 2nd XI continued their impressive form with victory at home.

August Update!

I know it's been a while but here's a quick update! The 1st XI have moved into second in the league after a string of good results in July, Hatherley look home and hosed though so a few more good performaces are needed to guaratee second place yet! The 2nd XI have continued there impressive form with the bat racking up 300+ on four occasions this season and are nip and tuck with Hatherley at the top, the last game of the season on the 29th August at Dairy Lane is against Hatherley so this may well decide the title!!

24th June 2009

Another disappointing weekend for the 1st XI with a comprehensive defeat at the hands of unbeaten Hatherley at Dairy Lane. The 2nd XI meanwhile ended Hatherley 2nd XI's unbeaten start to the season with a great win in the away fixture.

Both Saturday sides were defeated by Bourton Vale at the weekend but the Sunday XI comfortably beat Great Rissington by 8 wkts, the highlight being Matt Nicholson scoring his first ton for the club.

Focus now is on the start to the league season this Saturday, the 1st XI are at home to Painswick, the 2nd's away in the reverse fixture. Sunday sees the start of the VKO where we travel to Red Marley whilst the 2nd XI are away at Winchcombe.

The 2nd XI played Elmley Castle at Dairy Lane and ended up comfortable 7 wicket winners.
